Vijay Raaz (born on June 5, 1963) is an Indian actor in Bollywood, film director, narrator, and a very famous comedian. His breakthrough came and his fanbase spread widely all over the world when he played the role of Dubeyji in the movie Monsoon Wedding in the year 2001. He also debuted as a director with Kya Dilli Kya Lahore.

During his studies at P.G.D.A.V. College, a university situated in Delhi, he was a part of the dramatic society. He decided to focus mainly on a film career and moved to Mumbai where he gained a small part in the film industry but a significant role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Jungle. After the success of the film Monsoon Wedding, Raaz received many more opportunities. His first mainstream film cast was a leading actor known as Raghu Romeo, a box-office hit where Raaz played a role of a confused lower-class Indian.
