Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an Indian actress who was born in Mangalore, Karnataka on November 1, 1973. Krishnaraj and Vrinda Rai had a daughter named Aishwarya. She also has an older brother, Aditya Rai, who is a Merchant Navy engineer. Dil Ka Rishta, one of Aishwarya’s films, was co-produced by Aditya Rai.

She went to Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Santa Cruz, Mumbai, for her education. She attended Jai Hind College for one year before transferring to Ruparel College in Matunga to get her HSC. She used to be a model and won Miss World in 1994 before deciding to pursue acting as a career. In Hindi, English, Tamil, and Bengali, she has appeared in over 40 films.

Jeans, a Tamil film, gave her her first breakout role. In 1997, she made her acting debut with Mohanlal in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil movie Iruvar. The film was a big hit, winning numerous accolades, including Best Film at the Belgrade International Film Festival.

She featured alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan in the 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Her first box office success in Bollywood came with this flick. For the character she played in the film, she received her first Filmfare Best Actress Award. Later that year, she starred opposite Akshay Khanna in the film Taal, directed by Subhash Ghai. It did ok in India but went on to be a tremendous success in other countries.

In the year 2000, she acted alongside Shahrukh Khan and Chandrachur Singh in the film Josh. It turned out to be a commercial success. Later the same year, she co-starred with Anil Kapoor in the film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas hai. It went on to do a mediocre job at the box office.

As time flies by, Aishwarya, like a phoenix, keeps rising and shining as a beacon of hope for future generations.
