Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, better known as Tammy Abraham, is an English striker who currently plays for Serie A club Roma and the England national team.
Abraham was born in the Greater London borough of Camberwell. Timmy Abraham, his younger brother, is also a football player who plays for Newport County.
While on loan at Bristol City, Abraham was involved in a car accident in January 2017. He was accused of driving without a license or insurance at the time of the collision, and he was brought to court as a result. In March of that year, he received his driver’s license after passing the exam.
Abraham, a Chelsea academy graduate, made his first-team debut in 2016 before spending a season on loan with Championship side Bristol City. He had a tremendous season there, winning the club’s Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, and top goalscorer accolades in a single season, making him the first player to achieve so.
Abraham returned to Swansea City on loan, however, the club was relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season. In 2018, he joined Aston Villa and became the first player in the club’s history to score 25 goals in a single season since 1977.
Abraham began his Chelsea career at the age of eight and proceeded through the club’s academy system. In 2015 and 2016, he was a member of the Chelsea young side that won the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup consecutively.
Abraham scored eight goals in nine games in the 2015–16 UEFA Youth League, making him the tournament’s second-highest goalscorer after Roberto. In April, he continued his good run by scoring the winning goal in Chelsea’s FA Youth Cup final triumph over Manchester City. Abraham scored 74 goals in 98 games for Chelsea’s various youth teams during the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons.
