Prateek Kuhad was born on 3rd March 1990. He hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan. His journey is unique and inspiring in its way. He studied Economics and Maths at New York University. After completing his course in New York, he moved back to Delhi. He released two Eps (Extended Plays) before he made his debut with his album. He is also the first Indian artist to have been signed by an American record label Elektra Records in 2020.
Moreover In his childhood years, he did not have internet access. He used to listen to Indian pop music and Bollywood songs in his childhood years and very little western music. He got introduced to western music after he went to New York University for his graduation.
Although Prateek Kuhad’s music style is deeply influenced by American artist Elliott Smith’s music. His music style is unique as he writes his songs and plays them on his guitar. Moreover He started playing the guitar at a very young age. He has told several times that he is deeply influenced by Lucky Ali. Especially He hails from a modern and educated family from Jaipur. He is well versed in both Hindi and English and also writes his songs in both languages.
