Parle-G

Parle-G Companies Foundation:

Parle-G Company was born in 1929 during the British Raj. Parle was started by the Chauhan family of Vile-Parle in Bombay. Mohanlal Dayal Chauhan was a member of a silk trading family. He bought a renovated factory to produce confectionery. Mohanlal moved to Germany to study confectionery and returned to India in 1929 with the skills necessary to set up his first plant. After the Vile Parle suburbs where it was constructed, the House of Parle was given its name. In the beginning, the company had only 12 employees. All 12 are family members.

Parle-G: Brand and Its Journey:

These biscuits were often imported from British countries. This business revolutionized the world of toffee and confectionery. The first-ever Parle G biscuit was made, after the starting of World War 2. Parle Gluco was the original name.

This wheat biscuit is very affordable, and most Indians will buy it. In The Second World War, the Parle Gluco helped the British-Indian Army to stop its hunger. The Swadeshi Movement in India encouraged Indians to purchase only locally-made products to reduce their dependence on British imports. Parle, inspired by the Swadeshi Movement’s popularity, agreed to make biscuits back then a luxury imported commodity.

Summing Up:

We have reached the end, but we are not done with the blog. However, it is true that the end is the beginning. Albert Einstein rightly quotes, “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of values. Parle-G did not increase the price of its product because of its competitors. It kept its price nominal to ensure that everyone can afford the product. Parle-G is now a household name thanks to this strategy.

Parle-G, India’s most popular biscuit, connects people who want to enjoy healthy and enjoyable moments while also being affordable for those in the poorer parts of society.
