Murali Sreeshankar (born on 27 March in the year 1999) is an Indian athlete who competes in the long jump event. Sreeshankar also holds the national record of a total of 8.36 meters set in the year 2022.

Personal life and Education
In March 2018, Sreeshankar cleared a 7.99 m jump at the Federation Cup in Patiala. Sreeshankar was also named within the Indian contingent for the year of the 2018 Commonwealth Game.s But had to tug out for 10 days before the April event after being diagnosed with appendicitis. In September 2018, Sreeshankar broke the national record at the National Open Athletics Championships held in Bhubaneswar where he achieved a jump of 8.20 meters, it had been also the globe leading jump of the season among under-20 athletes were made him the primary Indian athlete to qualify for the year 2019 World Athletics Championships scheduled to be held in September–October in Doha. Achievements
Murali Sreeshankar got training from his father named S. Murali who is a former triple jump athlete and also a silver medalist at the South Asian Games. Sreeshankar would accompany his father to practices when he was just four-year-old. At that time his father noticed his potential as a sprinter. Sreeshankar had also become a state-level under-10 champion in the 50 meters and 100 meters. But switched from sprinting to long jump at the age of when he was only 13.
His mother K. S. Bijimol had won the silver medal in 800 meters at the year 1992 Asian Junior Athletics Championships. His sister named Sree Parvathy is a heptathlete. As of August in the year of 2019, Sreeshankar is pursuing BSc in mathematics at the Government Victoria College, which is located in Palakkad. Sreeshankar is also a part of the Target Olympic Podium known as (TOP) where the scheme was started by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
