Manasa Varanasi, Femina Miss India 2020, is an Indian model, engineer, and beauty pageant winner. She has been picked to represent India at the Miss World 2021 pageant; which will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2022.

Her Upbringing

Ravi Sankar and Shailaja, Manasa Varanasi’s parents, are Telugu speakers. Due to her father’s employment, she moved to Malaysia at an early age and attended Global Indian International School, where she finished grade 10. She thereafter returned to India, where she finished her intermediate and went on to Vasavi College of Engineering in Hyderabad to study computer science. She began working as a Financial Information eXchange (FIX) analyst at Factset, Hyderabad; after completing her education and graduating with a computer science degree. Varanasi grew up pursuing a wide range of interests from music, dancing, yoga, and even volunteering at Make a Difference; where she won Miss Fresher in her first year at college.

Proffesional Career

She then auditioned for Femina Miss India 2020 in 2020, winning the title. At the Femina Miss India 2020 pageant, she represented the Telangana state. Although She was crowned Femina Miss India World 2020 on February 10, 2021; at the Hyatt Regency in Mumbai, by the outgoing titleholder Suman Rao. She received the ‘Miss Rampwalk’ award in the pageant’s sub-contest ceremony.

Moreover Miss World 2021 Edit Varanasi will compete in the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant, which will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2022. Because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many candidates tested positive, the event had to be postponed.

Especially For her Beauty with a Purpose project, Varanasi fights for stronger child protection legislation in India. She also announced “We Can,” a groundbreaking effort to raise awareness about child sexual assault. The change she wants to see is mostly focused on providing children with access to high-quality education; which she believes will assist spark kids by providing them with opportunities to learn and dream big.
