Lakshya Sen: Education, Family and Career

Lakshya Sen (born 16 August 2001) is an Indian badminton player.[1] Sen could be a former world junior no. 1. He has won gold medals at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships in the boys’ singles and the Summer Youth Olympics within the mixed team event. He won the ribbon at the 2021 World Championships and was runner-up at 2022 All England Open. Sen was also an element of the Indian team which won the Thomas Cup 2022. Lakshya Sen won the medal at Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham 2022 in Men’s singles Badminton.

Education and Family

Sen, Kumaoni was born in Almora which is located in Uttarakhand. His father, named D. K. Sen, could also be a lecturer in India, and his brother, named Chirag Sen, is also an added worldwide badminton player. Sen defeated Cheam June Wei afar by a higher ranked player than him 21-11,21-16 in straight games at the New Zealand Open but had lost to 2-time Olympic gold medallist. Afterward the Australian Open, He lost to seed no.7 Lee Cheuk Yiu 20-22,21-13 and 19-21. Sen emerged because of the champion at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships defeating the best-seeded World no. 1 Junior Kunlavut Vitidsarn within the ultimate 21-19,21-18.

Career

In January, he defeated the reigning world champion, Loh Kean Yew, in the India Open final, thus clinching his first Super 500 title. He then defeated World No. 3 Anders Antonsen and World No. 7 Lee Zii Jia to achieve the finals of 2022 All England Open. He lost the finals to Viktor Axelsen 10-21, 15-21. He subsequently withdrew from a people Open, as he was tired after playing 2 back-to-back BWF tournament finals. Lakshya Sen was a component of the Indian men’s team for the Thomas Cup in the year 2022. The whole team went on to win the Thomas Cup by beating Indonesia by a score of 3-0, with Sen winning his match against Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, 8-21 21-17 21-16. He became Commonwealth champion at the 2022 Commonwealth Games by defeating Ng Tze Yong of Malaysia in the ultimate. Download
