Katrina Kaif was born on July 16, 1983, in Hong Kong, to a mother named Turquotte. Mohammed Kaif, her father, is a British businessman of Kashmiri heritage, while her mother is an English barrister and charity worker, according to the actor. Stephanie, Christine, and Natasha are three of her older sisters; Melissa, Sonia, and Isabel are her younger sisters; and Michael is her older brother. Isabelle Kaif is a model and actress in addition to her acting career. When Kaif was a child, her parents divorced and her father moved to America. She claimed that her father had no impact on Kaif or her siblings as they grew up and that they were reared entirely by their mother.
Move into Indian Cinema
Kaif was born in Hong Kong and migrated to London after living in numerous locations. She began modelling as a teenager and went on to have a successful career as a fashion model. Indian filmmaker Kaizad Gustad cast her in Boom (2003), a critical and financial flop, after seeing her at a fashion event in London. Kaif earned modelling gigs and had a successful modelling career while in India, but producers were hesitant to cast her because of her weak grasp of Hindi.
Film Career
Following a small role in Sarkar (2005), Kaif found commercial success in Bollywood with the romantic comedy; Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005), for which she received her first acting award — the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance – Female; this proved to be her break into Hindi cinema. Kaif got great acclaim for her role in Namastey London in 2007. (2007). Following that, Kaif starred in a streak of box office smashes in which she was frequently placed in attractive parts. Kaif made her first appearance in New York in 2009; earning her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She made her acting debut in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in the same year. She won the Entertainer of the Year Award at Screen and the Best Actress – Popular Award at Stardust for both films.
