Jehan Daruvala (born 1 October 1998) is an Indian racing motorist presently serving as a reserve motorist for the Mahindra Racing Formula E platoon. He was a protégé of the Force India F1 platoon, after being one of three winners of a One in a Billion quest’ organized by the platoon in 2011. He’s also set to race for MP Motorsport in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship and is a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team.

Early Life and Family

Daruvala was born in Mumbai to Khurshed and Kainaz Daruvala and belongs to a Parsi family. He studied at Bombay Scottish School, Mahim. Jehan Daruvala started karting at the age of thirteen in 2011, participating in multitudinous events across his karting career. He won the year of 2012 Asia- Pacific Championship and also the 2013 Super 1 National Championship titles as champion and multitudinous other series as vice champion across Asia and Europe.

Career

In January 2022, he reunited with reigning titleholders Prema Powerteam for the 2022 season partnering with fellow Red Bull Junior Team member and 2021 FIA Formula 3 champion Dennis Hauger. It was originally anticipated to be Daruvala’s final time contending in Formula 2 but remained in the crown for another time. Jehan Daruvala qualified seventh for the Bahrain season nature. He progressed to third during the sprint race launch.

On stage 16, Daruvala battled with 2nd-placed Ralph Boschung in which the Indian motorist won out on stage 18 and hence take alternate place. He fell to 11th at the race launch. While running ninth after the hole stops, Jehan Daruvala made contact with a rival and was forced to crop for a frontal sect change. He ultimately finished 14th. Jehan Daruvala qualified inadequately in 14th in Jeddah. Daruvala finished the sprint race in ninth but was elevated to seventh after Boschung and Jake Hughes were punished.
