Erica Fernandes is both an Indian actress and model, who works in Indian television and mostly in Tollywood films. She was widely known by the public with her first television debut in a Tv serial, portraying Dr. Sonakshi Bose in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi on Sony Tv. Erica is also known for her portrayal of Prerna Sharma in a south Indian film. She always has aspired to be a model since her childhood, which earned the crown of her career in “Bombay Times Fresh Face”, and “Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face 2011” and 2010 respectively.

Career and success

Fernandes was born in Mumbai. Her father Ralph Fernandes and mother name were Lavina Fernandes, in a Christian family.  She did her studies at Holy Cross High School, Kurla, Mumbai, and completed her graduation Course from Sies College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sion also had enrolled for a BA degree from St Andrew’s College. Later she dropped her studies to pursue a career in modeling.

A famous Director Sasi mainly in Tollywood had seen pictures of her at Meera Kathiravan’s office, with whom she was shooting a film when he was casting for Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu. Sasi offered her a role of a software engineer in his film name Bharat which was alongside. She was selected to play the lead role in the bilingual Viratt that was featuring newcomer Sujiv, son of the director Kumar. In February 2014, the film Virattu was eventually released and sought many people’s attention.

Television Debut

In 2016, Fernandes made her first television serial debut with Sony TV Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi where she portrayed Dr. Sonakshi Bose and played the role of a Bengali lady, opposite Shaheer Sheikh played the role of a Maharashtrian. The show was a new age show and her chemistry with Shaheer Sheikh was very much appreciated onscreen.

Her delayed film with Kathiravan was released on October 6, 2017, and saw her feature amongst a cast including Krishna and Sara Arjun.
