Divya Kakran (born 1998) may be a freestyle wrestler from India. Divya has won total 60 medals, that also includes 17 gold medals in the Delhi State Championship, and has won the Bharat Kesari title from India for the eight times. She has been vocal about being disappointed by the shortage of support from the govt of Delhi in her pursuit of a medal at the Asian Games in 2018, despite writing to the govt. Early life and Education
Divya Kakran belongs to North Delhi and is from a middle-class family, she was born and brought up in Purbaliyan village. Her father named Suraj said, and sold Langots for livelihood, where her mother sewed at home. Kakran used to study Physical Education and Sports Sciences (BPES) at the Noida College of Physical Education in Dadri, India.

Divya Kakran won the laurel wreath in women’s 68kg freestyle wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Friday with ease as she beat Tiger Lily Cocker Lemalie of Tonga with victory by fall. It took her all of 26 seconds to win the decoration bout. The 23-year-old had won bronze within the same category at the 2018 CWG in Gold Coast still.

Divya began her CWG campaign within the quarterfinal but had a tough draw rising against the defending champion.
