Anil Menon is an American lieutenant colonel who works in the Air Force, as well as as an emergency medicine physician, and NASA astronaut for candidates. Menon was also a Flight surgeon at NASA and a Medical director too at SpaceX before he got selected as a candidate for an Astronaut. Menon was born and brought up in Minneapolis, Menon graduated from Saint Paul Academy and completed his schooling at Summit School in Minnesota, in the year 1995. He also achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Neurobiology from Harvard University, in Cambridge in the year 1999. Menon conducted great research on Huntington’s disease But later spent one year in India as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to study and support the Polio vaccination drive for children.
Anil Menon Education and Career:
In the year 2004, he used to attend Stanford Medical School where he studied and completed engineering and medicine and worked that includes on the coding soft tissue at NASA Ames Research Center, in California. During his residency training in the year 2012 for emergency medicine, Menon joined the California Air National Guard and gained experience for the first time in wilderness medicine through the support for a remote adventures like races/Racing the Planet. Anil Menon was transferred to the 173rd Fighter Wing for military duty while pursuing a residency in aerospace NASA and medicine at UTMB-Galveston.
NASA Astronaut Career:
In 2021 December, Menon got finally selected as a NASA astronaut where Menon was reported for duty in January 2022, and in current reports, he is undergoing two years of initial astronaut training as a NASA astronaut candidate from America. Similarly, he could be assigned to several missions that involve performing research aboard the Centre in the International Space Station as well as in the deep space missions to destinations that -include the Moon on NASA’s Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System rocket too.
