Andy Samberg

Andy Samberg was born on 18 August 1978 and is an American comedian, actor, musician, director, and also writer. He is a member of the comedy music group The Lonely Island. He has been cast on Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012. Where he and his friend group members credited the SNL Digital Shorts.

Between 2013 to 2021, he starred as Jake Peralta in the Fox channel, named Brooklyn Nine-Nine [B99] which he produced based on a comedy series, he was awarded a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical in 2013.

Andy Samberg was born in Berkeley, California. His mother, named Marjorie “Margi” is a retired teacher, who used to teach at John Muir Elementary School, and his father, Joe Samberg, is a professional photographer. He has two other siblings, Johanna and Darrow.

In an episode of 2019, Finding Your Roots, which was hosted by Henry Louis Gates Jr., also, Samberg found out that his mother Marjorie was adopted by Jewish parents, and is the biological daughter of a Sicilian Catholic family, whose father was Salvatore Maida, who immigrated in 1925.

Career and his achievements

 Samberg delivered the Class Day speech at Harvard University in the year 2019. He starred with Adam Sandler as the main lead in the That’s My Boy web series. Similarly in the year, he again starred in Hotel Transylvania as the main lead character, Jonathan. A role that he represented onscreen for its sequels for both Hotel Transylvania 2 and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

In the year 2013, he landed the role of Detective Jake Peralta with his co-star Melissa Fumero. The other cast members in Fox’s (now NBC’s) police sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which first aired on 17 September 2013. Samberg got married to an American musician Joanna Newsom. Samberg proposed to her in February 2013, and they married on 21 September 2013 in Big Sur, California.
