All India Mahila Empowerment was a political party that was consolidated into reality by Heera Group Managing Director Nowhera Shaik. After almost two to three decades of ruling the business market, Nowhera Shaik wanted to expand her philanthropic activities and thus stepped into a world that would give her better exposure to serve more and more people. She has been empowering women since the very beginning of her company – Heera Group. She further wanted to enhance the reach of her philanthropic effectiveness. She formed the All India Mahila Empowerment Party in 2017, right before the Karnataka State Assembly Elections.
Formation of All India Mahila Empowerment Party
All India Mahila Empowerment Party was launched in the state elections right before the Karnataka State Elections. To this many feared that she will put a divider in the vote bank of a particular community. She got several calls from big powerhouses to merge with other parties to which she vehemently ignored. She even received death threats and also some threat calls that she will have to face consequences for this action of hers.
The Core Ideology of the Party
As it can be understood from the name itself, this party is all about the representation of women in politics. The manifesto of this party demanded an increase of seats for women in both state and the national parliament. They further demanded special spots on the road to ensure the safety of women. This party also speaks of the empowerment of the underprivileged and the marginalized sections of society.
The Result
Though it could not manage to create an astounding result in the state assembly it was fair enough for a newly launched party just before the elections. She had not contested elections from any seat. The actual result was bestowed on Nowhera Shaik when she had to go to jail on accusation for a scam, she was never a part of. She got trapped in political plotting against her and the fiasco in her life lasted more than 3 years after which she was finally given clean chit by the judiciary.
